Name 12 characters you have played in RPGs, before looking at the questions that follow. List your characters numbered 1 to 12, with the name of the RPG you played them in. Once you've picked your 12 characters, look at the questions and answer accordingly. (No peeking until you've picked your characters!) Put your answers behind a LJ-cut.

FWIW, I’ve usually been the GM, so it was actually kind of tough coming up with 12 characters, despite 25 years of play. So the *’s were mostly (if not completely) DMPCs. Others I didn’t add were one-shot types, or guys who’s name I couldn’t remember.
1) Who would make a better college professor: 6, or 11?
Calrom by far. He was the classic “mysterious Wizard.”
2) Do you think 2 is hot? How hot?
I don’t think he was hot. But he thought he did, as would others around him.
3) 12 sends 8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
Well, he would be sending him on a mission on his Boss’ behalf but Toby might make it a better cause. We’ll call it a research mission, and it would succeed.
4) What is, or would be, 9's favorite book?
Crap, I think I actually had this picked out once, but I can’t remember. Especially since she was a bookworm type. So I’ll cheat and go all sorts of inside referential: either Webs by Peter Parker or Dragons of Autumn Twilight.
5) Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
The other way around. Talchi’s a member of one of the Great Houses for crying out loud.
6) For some reason, 5 is looking for a room-mate. Should they share a studio apartment with 9, or 10?
#9, however I don’t know that she would be comfortable sharing an apartment with him. David Burke is crazy and should be avoided.
7) 2, 7, and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
One of the finest restaurants in Sharn. Overdose and Talchi would dicuss the finer points of Leadership, while Toby would support them both wholeheartedly.
8) 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
David Burke would win through superior technology and the will to win. Ygdal’s chronic bad luck would probably contribute as well. However Burke’s favorite tactic of leading with the vibroblade bayonet strike, followed by pulling the blaster rifle’s trigger may not be successful against magical heavy armor. He would just move to explosives, though.
9) If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would they get it back?
Brahold would never do such a thing. He’s a Paladin of high regard.
10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
Overdose, a hard core time and planar traveler comes to Toby’s homeworld. Based on the fine dinner they shared in Sharn, OD agrees to help Toby obtain his own lands. It then becomes a fine “fish out of water” tale as they romp about in my homebrew world.

11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
The Gods of separate material planes deem it necessary to bring to young raw Paladins together.
12) If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
It must be fate that this questionnaire would reveal this: Overdose is a Marvel Superheroes version of myself. OD is much more bitter than I am, though.
13) If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
Provide for my personal defense.
14) Does anyone on your friends list resemble 11 (either in appearance or personality)?
Not that I know of.
15) If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?
He'd probably go with 4. Hronic is a Paladin of the highest order.
16) What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
"Take the Hill!" Whether or not there actually is a hill. He’s actually one of my characters to typically use a battle cry.
17) If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?
"California Girls," Probably the David Lee Roth video version.
18) 1, 6, and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?

19) What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?
Um, no. If it were to happen, #2 would be killed.
20) What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
Unauthorized Spellcasting.
21) What is 6's secret?
He hated those he adventured with.
22) If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
Teri, she was learning how to fly, I think. Depends on a rank Excellent power mph vs. the speed of an armored heavy warhorse. I probably knew this OTTOMH and one point in time.
23) If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 or 8?
Christine, slightly. Overdose’s powers were limited to touch only, so that might be too late.
24) 1 and 9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4's sinister secret organization. 11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that he/she is actually a spy for 4. Meanwhile, 4 has kidnapped 12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of 5, they seek out 3, who gives them what they need to complete their quest. What title would you give this fic?
