| Weekend Update |

Saturday: Weeded and trimmed bushes. Got a sunburn. Went to see Indy 4, which I enjoyed. However, I admittedly have low standards when it comes to movies.
Sunday: Slept in a bit but still ran sound at second service. Went to an 8th grade graduation party for two of my cousins; great to see much of the matrilineal family. Then, regular Sunday night dinner at the in-laws. I helped relocate their PC from a back bedroom to a desk in the great room. The move took longer than expected, but was really done right.
Monday: Seriously slept in. Cleaned my room/bathroom. Went to inlaws for early dinner. Came home and tried to make space on the laptop's hard drive, I didn't realize how full it was. Helps to explain some of the performance problems. Fought allergy issues all day.
Along the way: logged a few hours on City of Heroes. I'll probably go back once the WoW sub expires in June 9.

The Sopranos: Yet another Studio 60 lament: IMO, it’s simply that the show is extremely well-crafted. It weaves plot threads within an episode as well as bringing in the (albeit short) threads from previous shows. The acting is excellent. No other show makes me feel this way, including my most favorite. I really wish it had more time to develop; these last two episodes have been among the best. I suppose my ultimate wish would be for another network to pick it up, but it’s my understanding most of the cast has already moved on.
WoAdWriMo: basically nothing done on day 3. I need to start some actual writing, as opposed just thinking about it. |

I9 arrived for CoH earlier this week, and I’ve barely played more that 2 hours since. A little bit of this has been a lack of free time. However, I was home sick from work Wednesday and decided I’d rather play Magic Online all day over City of. Admittedly, one part of that is because it’s easier to play Magic 1 handed as you recline than it is to play CoH on the laptop. My real point is that although I’m merely ambivalent toward I9, or so I thought, it seems that it may have actually pushed me away a little bit. I thought I’d just play like nothing much had changed, except for the great QoL improvements. There’s a part of me that think I might want to take a formal break, especially seeing as I’m hardly playing at all over the last 2-3 weeks. I don’t know, maybe this weekend will indicate more. Weekend plans: -Spider-Man 3 Matinee at Cine Capri (Arizona’s largest screen) 11:30 a.m. -Free comic book day, taking the kids -De la Hoya-Mayweather PPV at the in-laws |
